Actor Justin Theroux Kicks Off “Unchain a Dog” Month in New PETA PSA
"Would you ever dream of chaining up your best friend outside?" asks actor Justin Theroux in PETA's new public service announcement (PSA) targeting the estimated millions of people who keep their dogs chained outside, often without protection from bad weather or relief from boredom and loneliness. PETA is launching the PSA this January to coincide with "Unchain a Dog" Month, which spotlights the neglect and cruelty that "man's best friend" often endures at the end of a chain.
In the 30-second TV spot Theroux, best known for his dark and mysterious roles on TV's Six Feet Under, and in films including Charlie's Angels and Mulholland Drive, appears with his two canine companions, Lou Lou and Pooma (see her story below).
